Frequently Asked Questions

Will the stove burn through the night?

No. Lightweight backcountry stoves have compact fireboxes and require periodic refueling. The ulTIstove supplements proper cold-weather sleeping equipment; it does not replace it.

Can I cook on the stove?

Yes. The flat top can be used to heat water or prepare a simple meal while the stove warms your shelter.

Which pipe length should I choose?

Select a pipe length appropriate for your shelter height and stove-jack position. The pipe must extend sufficiently beyond the shelter and follow the shelter manufacturer’s clearance requirements.

Can I use it in any tent?

No. Only use a wood stove in a properly ventilated shelter specifically designed for stove use and equipped with a compatible stove jack. Always maintain appropriate clearances from combustible materials.

    Fastest setup ever!

    I had a cylinder stove that was light and easy to pack, but it was a pain to setup. I needed a change, so I pulled the trigger and bought the UTi stove. When I got the it, I thought dang, the setup time for the box was easy, fast and just a no brainer. And the first setup on the pipe definitely takes 2 people just like all other stove pipes. But after the initial burn in, this whole system takes literally 5 minutes or less to setup. And it is nice and lite for packing. This is one of my favorite purchases of 2025 hands down! What a great product!!

    This stove was a pivotal piece of our success this season hunting the backcountry. 10/10 would recommend. The fit and function are top notch. Won’t find a better stove and is super easy to setup!

    So far this stove has been a great addition to my backcountry gear. I had a little problem when my stove arrived, reached out to B/L they had it resolved overnight. High quality product, easy to use, and great burn time. Really love the cases it packs down into. Overall great product, and top notch costumer service.

    Great design and even better customer service. This stove is very sturdy with plenty of room larger wood. Extremely light weight and packs down to about the size of a laptop!

    Thoughtful design with flat top surface for cooking and solid fold out legs. Easy to assemble and packs down nicely with the included storage bags. Fit and finish are excellent and the large stove box allows for longer burn times. High quality product with excellent customer service!
